Many Ostheimer figures have been retired and therefore are highly desireable. The general age of these toys can be determined by the style of the Osthiemer label on the bottom. Sticker era toys are oldest, followed by fire-brand, and more recent to current toys are ink stamped. Some very old Osthiemer items may have no markings at all but these should be assessed by an expert as many immitations exist. A white spot on the bottom denotes a "seconds quality" ususally due to a a small imperfection
